Twinkie Diet Helps Nutrition Professor Lose 27 lbs

So this kind of blew me away, but of course the article DOES state that they don’t know the long-term health effects and do not recommend doing it.  BUT it does prove that at the very least, if you want to lose weight, it really comes down to basic math.  Take in less than you burn.  Apparently, the quality of those calories isn’t the issue from a purely weight-loss related stance.

So I guess, even on a diet, you can indulge in a piece of chocolate cake – as long as the calories don’t add up.

Definitely food for thought 🙂
